Your Representation in Annapolis

Residents of the 47th District are represented by four people in the State Legislature.  We vote for one state senator and three state delegates.  All are elected to four-year terms.

The senator from our district is one of the eight state senators from legislative districts in Prince George's County.

Our state delegates join 23 other delegates from the other legislative districts of Prince George's County.  Together, the delegates and senators represent us in the state capital in Annapolis.

The legislature meets for three months each year (January - March.)

Delegates Ramirez and Niemann, along with myself, represent the residents of the 47th District in the House of Delegates.
